Watts Towers Arts Center Campus

July 1, 2026 | Ongoing Construction Updates (2026–2028)

Beginning July 8, 2026, the Watts Towers Arts Center Campus (WTACC) will reopen to the public following a temporary closure during the month of June.

​

Programming, exhibitions, and guided tours of Watts Towers will resume, and visitors are once again welcome to the Watts Towers Arts Center, Charles Mingus Youth Arts Center, and Garden Studio Gallery.

Campus renovations will continue through Spring 2028 as planned. The overall projected construction timeline is as follows: 

​

● Spring 2026 (current phase): Bidding and permitting 

​

● Summer 2026: Groundbreaking and start of construction 

​

● Spring 2028: Ribbon-cutting and completion of construction 

​

We will continue to share updates as construction progresses.
